Technology

My day job is an IT nerd, and I have many years of experience working in various industries, including broadcasting, manufacturing, healthcare, and communications.

Radio Comms

I am also a Ham Radio Operator and like experimenting with all types of radio communications, such as ham radio, GMRS, and mesh networks like MeshTastic and MeshCore.  I use both fixed and mobile communications devices.

Maker Stuff

Making is fun and a great creative outlet.  I have 3D printers, laser cutters, engraving machines, and CNC machines.  I also own and use Cricut cutting machines and a multi-use heat press.  I also like to play with various creative methods such as resin, wood burning, and carving.

Photography

My father was a photographer in the Navy and taught me to use cameras and darkrooms as a boy.  I own several digital cameras, studio equipment, and lighting.

Woodworking

I enjoy restoring and using vintage woodworking tools and own some made the year I was born.  Turning rough wood into finished products is very meditative and satisfying.

Other Stuff

This is the place for my various other interests.  As a self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, I often dabble in lots of things, whatever seems fun or educational at the time.
